BIG IDEA
Understand the idea before memorising a rule.
Sentence variety is part of vocabulary. At Grade 7, the goal is to connect this topic to a clear method, relevant evidence and a final check. You will apply that idea to a real vocabulary question at this grade level.
YOU WILL LEARN TO
- Explain the key ideas in sentence variety using accurate english vocabulary.
- Apply a reliable method to a new sentence variety task.
- Check the result and explain why the evidence supports it.
METHOD
A reliable three-step approach
- 1
Read the complete text or sentence before deciding.
- 2
Point to the word, structure or quotation that supports the idea.
- 3
Explain the effect clearly and edit the final response.
WORKED EXAMPLE
